Decks over two feet in elevation will require railing. For maintenance free composite decks there is an option to use either a composite railing system offered by a few of the fore mentioned companies. Another popular choice is aluminum railing. There are a variety of modular railing systems on the market. These are made with powder coated aluminum and require no maintenance other than cleaning.
